Summer Conference 2024 – Delegate Information
This year’s conference will be held at the Lancaster University on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th July.
Travel
Lancaster University has a detailed page on how to travel to their campus, including information on the local bus service that runs frequently to the site. We recommend delegates travel by public transport where possible but if you would like to drive then visitor parking is available with a cost associated. We recommend car parks F, G and H as the closest to the venues (see the parking zone map for locations).
Accommodation
Accommodation for the Thursday night is included in the price of the conference ticket. Keys to your room will be available for collection at registration. We are aware that some delegates may wish to travel up on the Wednesday. You can book an additional night’s accommodation for the Wednesday directly with the venue. If you contact the venue then they can arrange for you to stay in the same room for both nights.
Food
Your conference ticket includes lunch on both days, the conference dinner on Thursday, and breakfast on the Friday morning. When booking your ticket, we will have asked for any dietary requirements and allergies and these will be accommodated by the venue.

FAQs
I’m travelling from further away. What time should I arrive?
We appreciate that our delegates are travelling from all across the UK. The conference itself starts at 13:30 on the Thursday and we recommend you arrive no later than 13:30. We recognise that sometimes there are delays with transport and late comers are welcome to join the conference at their earliest convenience. The committee will be on hand to register late comers during breaks.
Where can I leave my luggage when I arrive?
We will give you your room key on arrival and if there’s time you are welcome to go to your room and leave your luggage. If you arrive close to the conference starting then we will have a side room where you can leave any luggage.
